Tamarind fried prawns recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 2 tbsp pounded chilies
  • 300 g peeled prawns
  • 1 tbsp tamarind mix with 11 tbsp water, reserve liquid and discard pulp
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt

Methods / instructions

  1. Heat oil in frying pan and stir fry onion and chilies.
  2. Stir in prawns for a minute.
  3. Add in remaining ingredients and simmer gently until cooked.
  4. Serve hot.
