Stuffed chicken recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 1/2 kg minced pork
  • 100 g shredded ham
  • 2 slices white bread, soaked in water to soften and mashed
  • 5 sliced mushrooms
  • 1 egg
  • 1 sliced and fried onion
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sherry
  • 1 tsp Lea & Perrins sauce
  • 1 tbsp light soya sauce
  • 7 tbsp milk
  • 1 chicken, slit front
  • 4 hardboiled eggs
  • soya sauce
  • butter

Methods / instructions

  1. Combine the first 12 ingredients.
  2. Use needle and thread to sew the chicken neck opening.
  3. Stuff meat mixture into the neck and breast cavity.
  4. Place 2 hardboiled eggs in breast cavity and continue stuffing the legs and body.
  5. Place remaining egg in lower cavity and stuff chicken with remaining mixture.
  6. Sew up the end.
  7. Rub chicken with light soya sauce and butter.
  8. Roast until meat is cooked.
  9. Slice up and serve hot.
