Rissoles recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 100 g all purpose flour
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 280 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 200 g minced pork
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 10 tbsp green peas
  • 2 tbsp cornflour mix with 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • oil for deep frying

Methods / instructions

  1. To prepare pancake batter, combine the first 5 ingredients.
  2. Fry batter over low heat to make about 18 thin pancakes.
  3. To prepare meat filling, heat up oil and stir fry onion, meat, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
  4. Add in green peas and corn starch. Stir fry until dry.
  5. Place meat at one edge of pancake, flap the short end of 2 sides over and roll mixture to form a roll.
  6. Dip pancake rolls in beaten eggs and then bread crumbs.
  7. Deep fry until golden brown and serve hot.
