Chicken stew recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 1 chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 tbsp dark soya sauce
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 2 1/2 tbsp oil
  • 400 g potatoes, cut into pieces
  • 250 g carrots, cut into pieces
  • 3 tomatoes, cut into wedges
  • 1 onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 pounded shallots
  • 1 pc cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 880 ml water
  • 2 tbsp cornflour mix with 5 tbsp water

Methods / instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with soya sauce and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan and stir fry shallots and chicken.
  3. Add in remaining ingredients, bring to boil, simmer gently until chicken is tender.
  4. Serve hot.
