Cantonese fried rice recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 pc chopped ginger
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup diced ham
  • 1/2 cup diced barbecued pork
  • 1/2 cup peeled shrimps
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 6 cups cooked rice
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 stalk scallion, trimmed and chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
  • pepper to taste
  • pickled green chilies

Methods / instructions

  1. Heat oil in wok and saute garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  2. Stir in onion, barbecue pork, shrimps and peas.
  3. Season well with soy sauce and add in rice.
  4. Add in remaining ingredients and continue to stir to ensure all ingredients well mixed.
  5. Serve hot.
