Black pepper beef recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 550 g beef chunks
  • 1 tsp light soy sauce
  • 3 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp pounded black peppercorns
  • 3 shredded ginger slices
  • 3 1/2 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 2 sliced onions
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp oyster sauce
  • 200 g baby kale

Methods / instructions

  1. Marinate beef with light soy sauce.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over high heat and deep fry marinated beef for 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. In a wok, dry fry pounded peppercorns for 3 minutes and set aside.
  5. Add 3 tbsp oil into pan and stir fry ginger and garlic for 2 minutes.
  6. Add in onions and stir fry until translucent.
  7. Add in beef, peppercorns and remaining ingredients.
  8. Stir fry briefly and serve immediately.
