- oil for stir frying
- 4 shallots
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 pc ginger
- 2 cm pc dried shrimp paste
- 6 dried chilies
- 1 tbsp turmeric powder
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 star anise
- 1 dried assam slice
- 6 tbsp curry powder
- 200 g chicken, cut into bite size pieces
- 3 potatoes, cut into quarters
- salt and sugar to taste
- 300 g boiled dhal
- 550 ml coconut milk
- 5 sliced long beans
- 1 diced brinjal
- 1 diced carrot
- 15 g mustard seeds
Methods / instructions
- Heat oil in a heavy pan. Stir fry the next 10 ingredients after oil from the ingredient list until fragrant.
- Add in chicken, potatoes, salt and sugar. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients and cook until it boils.
- Serve immediately.
