Fried crab noodles recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 320 g dried Chinese egg noodles
  • 2 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 4 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 pc grated ginger root
  • 110 g chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 110 g peeled prawns
  • 110 g shredded Chinese cabbage
  • 5 sliced Chinese mushrooms, soaked in hot water for 20 minutes, reserve liquid
  • oyster sauce to taste
  • 110 g cooked crab meat

Methods / instructions

  1. Cook noodles in a heavy saucepan according to packet instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a frying pan, heat up oil and add onion, garlic and ginger.
  3. Cook for 5 minutes, increase heat and stir in chicken. Cook for further 3 minutes and add in prawns.
  4. Stir fry for 1 minute and add in cabbage, noodles and mushrooms with reserved liquid.
  5. Stir in oyster sauce and cook briefly.
  6. Transfer content to warm plate and top with crab meat.
  7. Serve immediately.
