Ingredients /nutrition
- 800 g spare ribs, cut into bite size pieces
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 3 tbsp corn flour
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 2 cups oil for deep frying
- 3/4 tbsp chopped garlic
- 1/2 pineapple, cut into cubes
- 180 ml tomato sauce
- 55 ml chili sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 500 ml water
Methods / instructions
- Combine the first 5 ingredients in a bowl and cover with cling film.
- Allow to stand for 4 hours in refrigerator.
- Heat up oil and deep fry spare ribs until cooked and golden brown.
- Remove from heat and drain on kitchen paper towel.
- Leave 1 tbsp oil in pan and saute remaining ingredients.
- Stir in spare ribs, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer gently for 1/2 hour.
- Serve immediately.
