Black pepper fried rice recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 3/4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 diced onion
  • 3 tbsp minced Chinese barbecued pork
  • 1 sliced red chili
  • 3 sliced bird’s eye chili
  • 2 bowls cold, cooked rice
  • 100 g shrimps
  • 3 tbsp mixed peas, blanched with hot water and drained
  • 1 tbsp chopped spring onions
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp sesame oil

Methods / instructions

  1. Heat oil in wok and saute garlic and ginger.
  2. Add in eggs and fry omelet style. Cut into pieces.
  3. Stir in onions and barbecue pork until fragrant.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and cook at high heat for 2 minutes.
  5. Stir well and serve hot.
