Black pepper crabs recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 500 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 kg crabs, cut into pieces
  • 1 tbsp corn flour mix with 80ml water
  • 6 finely minced shallots
  • 1 tbsp grated garlic
  • 1 tbsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cooking wine
  • 1 tbsp thick soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar

Methods / instructions

  1. Heat up oil, coat crabs in corn floor and deep fry for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Remove crabs from heat, drain on kitchen paper towel and set aside.
  3. Remain 3-4 tbsp oil on pan and add in remaining ingredients.
  4. Saute until fragrant and add in crabs.
  5. Cook until sauce thickens and serve immediately.
