Beef burgers recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 550 g peeled, boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 280 g minced beef
  • 1 tbsp ground white pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 10 shallots, peeled, sliced and lightly browned in oil
  • 2 lightly beaten eggs
  • plain flour
  • vegetable oil for shallow frying

Methods / instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Mix well.
  2. Form mixture into patties and lightly coat with flour.
  3. Fry patties for 5-6 minutes in hot oil or until cooked.
  4. Serve hot with burger buns, lettuce, mayonnaise, tomatoes, pickles and cucumbers.
