- 5 red chilies
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp thick dark sweet soy sauce
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp shrimp paste
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 whole fish, slit to form diagonal patterns
Methods / instructions
- Grind chilies and garlic until form a smooth paste. Combine with soy sauce, lemon juice and shrimp paste.
- Rub salt on fish and pour spice mixture over fish.
- Place fish on grill lined with banana leaves.
- Grill for 15-18 minutes until cooked.
- Serve hot.
