Spicy beef recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 3 1/2 tbsp glutinous rice
  • 420 g beef topside, cut into 3 pieces
  • 3/4 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp anchovy paste
  • 1 tbsp dried galingale, soaked in hot water for 45 minutes and finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp chopped spring onions

Methods / instructions

  1. Dry fry glutinous in a hot skillet until brown and pound to powder using electric food processor or blender.
  2. Roast beef in preheated oven at 200 degree C for 16 minutes. Shred to thin strips and combine with powdered rice.
  3. Combine fish sauce and anchovy paste in a pan and cook until smooth.
  4. Add in beef mixture and remaining ingredients.
  5. Stir well and serve warm.
