- 230 g sliced pork
- 260 g glutinous rice
- 8 cups water
- 1 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 aubergine or egg plant
- 2 tbsp dried chilies
- 120 g French beans
- 10 sliced Chinese mushrooms, soaked in hot water for 20 minutes and drained
Methods / instructions
- Roast pork in preheated oven at 180 degree C for 16 minutes.
- Meanwhile, place glutinous rice and some water in a mortar and crush with pestle.
- Add 8 cups water in a heavy saucepan and bring to boil.
- Add fish sauce, salt, pork, egg plant and chilies.
- Bring to boil for 15 minutes and remove eggplant and chilies from saucepan.
- Pound eggplant and chilies with mortar and pestle and return them to pan together with remaining ingredients.
- Bring to boil and stir in glutinous rice with soaking liquid.
- Boil for 25 minutes and serve immediately.
