Bbq pork with mushrooms & beans recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 230 g sliced pork
  • 260 g glutinous rice
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 aubergine or egg plant
  • 2 tbsp dried chilies
  • 120 g French beans
  • 10 sliced Chinese mushrooms, soaked in hot water for 20 minutes and drained

Methods / instructions

  1. Roast pork in preheated oven at 180 degree C for 16 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, place glutinous rice and some water in a mortar and crush with pestle.
  3. Add 8 cups water in a heavy saucepan and bring to boil.
  4. Add fish sauce, salt, pork, egg plant and chilies.
  5. Bring to boil for 15 minutes and remove eggplant and chilies from saucepan.
  6. Pound eggplant and chilies with mortar and pestle and return them to pan together with remaining ingredients.
  7. Bring to boil and stir in glutinous rice with soaking liquid.
  8. Boil for 25 minutes and serve immediately.
