Stuffed mushroom with spicy pork recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 180 g minced pork
  • 1 tbsp spicy soy bean paste
  • 1 sprig trimmed and finely chopped scallions
  • 20 g peeled and mashed ginger
  • 3/4 tsp sugar
  • 6 shiitake mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 lightly beaten eggs
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • Oil for deep frying

Methods / instructions

  1. Combine the first 5 ingredients and chill in refrigerator for 40 minutes.
  2. Stuff mushroom with pork mixture.
  3. Dip stuffed mushroom with flour, then eggs and coat with bread crumbs.
  4. Chill in fridge for 16 minutes.
  5. Heat oil and deep fry mushrooms for 8 minutes.
  6. Drain on kitchen paper towel and serve immediately.
