Pear with peppercorn recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 22 peppercorns
  • 2 Asian peeled and cored pears, cut into quarters
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • pine nuts

Methods / instructions

  1. Stick 2 to 3 peppercorns on the outer side of the pears.
  2. Combine pears with water and sugar in a saucepan.
  3. Bring to boil, reduce heat and cook for 6 minutes.
  4. Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  5. Garnish with pine nuts prior serving.
