Korean omelet recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 120 g peeled and chopped onion
  • 140 g shredded pork
  • 75 g Kim Chi
  • 1 stalk trimmed and chopped scallion
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 bowl of steamed white rice
  • salt to taste

Methods / instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil and sweat onion until aromatic.
  2. Stir in pork, kimchi and scallions.
  3. Stir fry until pork is cooked and set aside.
  4. Place 1 raw egg into a bowl of cold steamed white rice and combine well.
  5. Preheat pot, stir fry egg and rice until done.
  6. Return pork mixture and salt to taste into rice. Combine well and set aside.
  7. Beat remaining 2 eggs and heat oil in frying pan.
  8. Pour beaten eggs and pan fry.
  9. Add rice on top and roll up egg sheet.
  10. Serve hot.
