Kimchi fried rice recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 200 g ground beef
  • 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 diced onion
  • 220 g sliced kimchi
  • 550 g cold cooked rice
  • 1 diced capsicum
  • 3 thinly sliced scallions
  • 1 sliced green chili
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  •  

Methods / instructions

  1. Season beef with soy sauce and garlic in a bowl and set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1/2 tablespoon oil and stir fry beef with sugar, onion and kimchi for 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from pan and set aside.
  4. Add remaining oil and reduce heat to medium.
  5. Add rice and stir fry for 1/2 minute before adding beef and remaining ingedients.
  6. Cook briefly and serve hot.
