Ingredients /nutrition
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
- 160 g minced lean pork
- 180 g minced lean beef
- 1/3 cup water
- 220 g shredded Chinese cabbage
- 100 g chopped bean sprouts
- 120 g finely chopped mushrooms
- 4 finely chopped spring onions
- 2 tbsp lightly toasted crushed sesame seeds
- 160 g round wonton pastry wrappers
- 2 1/2 l beef stock
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 1/2 cm finely sliced ginger
- 5 chopped spring onions
- salt and pepper to taste
Methods / instructions
- Heat oil and saute garlic, pork and beef until meat change color.
- Add water, cabbage, sprouts and mushroom.
- Cook for 5 minutes and stir in spring onions, sesame seed and season well with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Put a spoonful of meat mixture on wonton wrapper and seal with water at the edge.
- Repeat steps until all the fillings are used.
- To prepare the soup, combine the remaining ingredients in a heavy saucepan and bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer gently for 20 minutes.
- Drop dumplings and cook for further 5 minutes.
- Serve hot.
