Ingredients /nutrition
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp mashed peeled garlic
- 1 1/2 tbsp mashed peeled ginger
- 150 g sliced prime beef
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- salt to taste
- 250 g Korean rice cakes
- 4 cups kelp broth
- 1 tsp lightly toasted white sesame seeds
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 stalk chopped scallions
Methods / instructions
- Heat oil and saute garlic and ginger until aromatic.
- Add beef and soy sauce and stir fry until done.
- Pour in kelp broth and bring to boil.
- Season well with salt.
- Boil rice cakes and transfer into soup bowl.
- Pour soup over and top with remaining ingredients.
- Serve hot.
