Ingredients /nutrition
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1/2 peeled onion
- 2 tsp black peppercorns
- 1 1/4 l water
- 450 g beef
- 180 ml light soy sauce
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 hardboiled eggs, cut into quarters
- 5 drops sesame oil
Methods / instructions
- Boil garlic, onion and peppercorns in water for 12 minutes.
- Add in beef and boil for a further 20 minutes.
- Drain beef and reserve stock.
- Discard garlic, onion and peppercorns.
- In a heavy saucepan, add in beef, beef stock, soy sauce and sugar.
- Boil over medium heat for 15 minutes.
- Thinly slice beef and serve in a serving dish with hard boiled eggs.
- Drizzle sesame oil on top.
