Beef braised soy sauce recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 peeled onion
  • 2 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1 1/4 l water
  • 450 g beef
  • 180 ml light soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 hardboiled eggs, cut into quarters
  • 5 drops sesame oil

Methods / instructions

  1. Boil garlic, onion and peppercorns in water for 12 minutes.
  2. Add in beef and boil for a further 20 minutes.
  3. Drain beef and reserve stock.
  4. Discard garlic, onion and peppercorns.
  5. In a heavy saucepan, add in beef, beef stock, soy sauce and sugar.
  6. Boil over medium heat for 15 minutes.
  7. Thinly slice beef and serve in a serving dish with hard boiled eggs.
  8. Drizzle sesame oil on top.
