Sake pork & vegetables recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 120 ml sake
  • 1 tsp dashi powder dissolved in 250 ml water
  • 1 thinly sliced carrot
  • 3/4 cup sliced leek, soaked in water
  • 100 g dried Japanese potato starch noodles
  • 220 g thinly sliced pork fillet or shoulder
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 thinly sliced spring onion (scallion)

Methods / instructions

  1. Mix sake and dashi mixture in a saucepan and bring to boil.
  2. Reduce heat and add in carrot, leek and noodles.
  3. Cook until vegetables are tender and stir in pork, soy sauce and lemon juice.
  4. Cook until pork is done and remove from heat.
  5. Serve hot and top with spring onions.
