Pork broth recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 350 g pork, cut into cubes
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sake
  • 4 tbsp katakuriko (potato starch)
  • 250 ml vegetable oil
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 90 ml water
  • 1 1/2 tbsp castor sugar
  • grated ginger
  • 3 crushed garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 4 sliced chive stems

Methods / instructions

  1. Mix pork with sake.
  2. Add in potato starch and mix well.
  3. Heat oil and deep fry pork until cooked.
  4. Remove from heat and drain on kitchen paper towel. Set aside.
  5. Combine remaining ingredients and bring to boil.
  6. Add in pork and simmer for several minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
