- 500 g sliced sashimi quality tuna fillets
- 4 tsp sake
- 60 ml mayonnaise
- 2 1/2 tsp wasabi paste
- 2 tsp mirin
- 2 tsp sake
- 1 tsp Japanese sansho pepper
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Methods / instructions
- Marinate tuna slices in sake overnight.
- To prepare wasabi sauce, mix well mayonnaise, wasabi, mirin and sake in a bowl and set aside.
- Drain marinated tuna.
- Combine pepper and oil in a baking tray and coat drained tuna.
- Heat oil and cook tuna for 3-4 minutes.
- Allow to cool and slice to pieces.
- Serve on top of daikon and serve with wasabi sauce.
