Grilled salmon with miso recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 4 sardines
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp red miso paste
  • 3 1/2 tsp sake
  • 1 tsp rice wine vinegar
  • 3 tbsp grated daikon
  • soy sauce to taste

Methods / instructions

  1. Rub salt on sardine and allow to stand for 6 minutes.
  2. Rinse and remove excess salt with paper towel to dry.
  3. Mix miso paste, sake and vinegar in a bowl.
  4. Spread some miso mixture on a lightly greased tray and place fish on top.
  5. Spread remaining mixture on sardine and grill for 5 minutes.
  6. Turn over and grill for a further 5 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with daikon and soy sauce.
