Garlic ginger steak recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 4 steaks
  • 4 minced garlic cloves
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 200 g thinly shredded daikon
  • 1/2 thinly shredded carrot
  • 1 thinly shredded ginger
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 thinly sliced spring onions

Methods / instructions

  1. Place steak on baking dish. Set aside.
  2. To make the sauce, mix garlic, soy sauce and mirin in a small bowl.
  3. Pour sauce over the steaks and set aside for 45 minutes.
  4. Dissolve sugar in vinegar pour over vegetables and ginger. Set aside for 15 minutes. Drain the vegetables.
  5. Heat oil and stir fry steak to your preference.
  6. Remove steak and top with spring onions. Serve with marinated vegetables.
