Deep fried tofu recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 300 g firm tofu, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 tsp corn starch oil for deep-frying
  • 1 tbsp finely grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp thinly sliced spring onions (scallions)
  • 2 1/2 tbsp bonito flakes
  • dark soy sauce to taste

Methods / instructions

  1. Coat tofu with corn starch.
  2. Heat oil and deep fry until tofu pieces are golden brown.
  3. Drain on kitchen paper towel.
  4. Serve with remaining ingredients.
