Spicy fish patties recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 200 g mashed sardines
  • 350 g cooked and mashed potatoes
  • 1 stalk chopped spring onion
  • 1 stalk chopped Chinese celery
  • 3 sliced green chilies
  • 80 g sliced shallots
  • 2 lightly beaten eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 lightly beaten egg whites
  • vegetable oil

Methods / instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl except egg whites and vegetable oil.
  2. Mould fish patties and brush with egg whites.
  3. Heat up oil and deep fry fish patties until golden brown.
  4. Drain on kitchen paper towel and serve hot.
