Spiced beef recipe

  • 450 g thinly sliced beef
  • 3 1/2 tbsp lime juice
  • 7 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 6 thinly sliced shallots
  • 3 kaffir lime leaves
  • 14 grounded red chilies
  • 1 tsp salt

Methods / instructions

  1. Rub beef with 1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice and set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Bake beef in an oven with low heat until nearly crisp.
  3. Heat up oil and fry beef until cooked. Set aside.
  4. Saute shallots, lime leaves and chillies.
  5. Add remaining lime juice, salt and toss in beef.
  6. Stir briefly and serve immediately.
