Ingredients /nutrition
- 2 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 crushed red chili
- 2 grated candlenuts
- 1/4 roll shrimp paste
- 1 kg chicken, cut into bite size pieces
- 1 tbsp tamarind juice
- 1 tsp sweet soy sauce
- 1 cup water
- salt to taste
Methods / instructions
- Heat up oil and saute onion and garlic until golden brown.
- Add in brown sugar, chili, candlenuts and shrimp paste.
- Stir well and add in chicken pieces.
- Add in remaining ingredients.
- Cook, covered until chicken is cooked and sauce has thickens.
- Serve immediately.
