Bean curd in peanut sauce recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 200 g fried and grounded peanuts
  • 2 grounded red chilies
  • 9 grounded bird's eye chilies (cili padi)
  • 150 ml water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 bean curd, cut into halves and fried
  • 1 fermented soybean, cut into 3 pieces and fried
  • 2 sliced cucumbers
  • 150 g bean sprouts
  • 3 tbsp fried shallots
  • 5 sprigs Chinese chives, sliced
  • 4 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  •  

Methods / instructions

  1. Combine peanuts, red chilies, bird’s eye chilies, water and salt in a bowl. Set aside for 3 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, arrange bean curd, soybean, cucumbers and bean sprout on a serving plate.
  3. Pour peanut sauce over and top with remaining ingredients.
  4. Serve immediately.
