Ingredients /nutrition
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil
- 3/4 tsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp ground sweet paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 3 finely chopped garlic cloves
- 1 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp ground coriander
- 3/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 1/2 tsp packed brown sugar
- 1 3/4 cups coconut milk
- 3/4 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp tamarind paste
- 700 g jumbo shrimps
Methods / instructions
- Heat up oil and stir fry chili powder, paprika, turmeric, garlic, ginger, coriander and cumin until aromatic.
- Pour water and stir in brown sugar.
- Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer gently for 5 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients and cook for 5-6 minutes.
- Serve hot with boiled Basmati rice.
