- 2 oz long grain rice (Basmati rice)
- 3/4 pt full fat milk
- 14 fl oz full cream evaporated milk
- butter for greasing
- 3 cardamom pops
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 oz caster sugar
- 4 tbsp roasted almond flakes
- 4 tbsp roughly chopped pistachios
Methods / instructions
- Preheat oven to 150 degree C.
- Combine rice, milk and evaporated milk in a saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, grease an ovenproof dish with butter.
- Transfer milk mixture to dish and stir in remaining ingredients.
- Bake for 2 hours.
- Remove cinnamon stick and serve warm or cold.
