Ingredients /nutrition
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 finely chopped onions
- 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried flaked chili
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 cup water
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 kg green shrimps
- 40 g brown sugar
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
Methods / instructions
- Heat up oil and saute onions and garlic for 18 minutes.
- Stir in salt, flaked chili, paprika, cayenne pepper and turmeric and cook for a minute.
- Pour in water and lemon juice.
- Cover and simmer gently for 4-6 minutes.
- Add in remaining ingredients, uncovered and simmer gently for a further 4-6 minutes.
- Serve hot.
