Fried shrimps recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 finely chopped onions
  • 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried flaked chili
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 cup water
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 kg green shrimps
  • 40 g brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce

Methods / instructions

  1. Heat up oil and saute onions and garlic for 18 minutes.
  2. Stir in salt, flaked chili, paprika, cayenne pepper and turmeric and cook for a minute.
  3. Pour in water and lemon juice.
  4. Cover and simmer gently for 4-6 minutes.
  5. Add in remaining ingredients, uncovered and simmer gently for a further 4-6 minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
