Fried rice recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 3 finely chopped shallots
  • 10 curry leaves
  • 1 sliced green chili
  • 1 sliced red chili
  • 100 g prawns
  • 70 g finely sliced carrot
  • 70 g shredded purple cabbage
  • 1 tsp chili paste
  • 1/2 tsp chili sauce
  • 1/2 tsp tomato ketchup
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp grounded black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp light soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp thick soy sauce
  • 200 g cooked rice
  • 1 lightly beaten eggs
  • 60 g green peas

Methods / instructions

  1. Heat oil in wok and saute garlic, shallots, curry leaves, green and red chilis.
  2. Stir for 1 minute and add in prawns, carrot and cabbage.
  3. Add in chili paste, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, salt, pepper, light and thick soy sauce.
  4. Stir well and add remaining ingredients.
  5. Stir briefly and serve hot.
