Dry lamb curry recipe

Ingredients /nutrition

  • 1 kg leg of lamb, cut into bite size pieces
  • 100 g yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 5 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 150 g sliced onions
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 3 tsp ground coriander
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 300 ml water
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  •  

Methods / instructions

  1. Marinate lamb with yogurt, salt and turmeric. Set aside for an hour.
  2. Heat up oil and saute onions until transparent.
  3. Add in marinated lamb with its mixture and brown the lamb.
  4. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer gently for an hour.
  5. Serve hot.
