Ingredients /nutrition
- 1 1/2 kg chicken, cut into bite pieces
- 3 diced tomatoes
- 3 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp corn oil
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 2 star anise
- 4 cloves
- 3 cardamoms
- 1 diced onion
- 3 potatoes, cut into wedges
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup yoghurt
- 10 curry leaves
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
Methods / instructions
- Marinate chicken and tomatoes with curry powder and salt. Set aside for an hour.
- Heat oil and add cinnamon, star anise, cloves, cardamoms and onion.
- Stir fry for 2 1/2 minutes.
- Stir in marinated chicken and remaining ingredients.
- Cook until potatoes soften and gravy thickens.
- Serve hot with boiled rice, naan bread or white bread.
