- 5 oz plain flour
- 5 oz whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 fl oz water
- 2 oz melted butter
Methods / instructions
- Add flours and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Make a well in the middle and add water one at a time.
- Use your fingers to make smooth dough.
- Knead dough on a floured working surface for 6 minutes.
- Wrap dough with plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
- Divide dough into a dozen pieces and roll out to about 5 inches diameter round.
- Heat non stick frying pan and cook dough one at a time.
- Remove from heat when chapatti is golden brown.
- Repeat for remaining dough.
- Serve warm with melted butter.
