Ingredients /nutrition
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 12 thinly sliced shallots
- 650 g Basmati long grain rice, soaked in water for 30 minutes and drained
- 6 cloves
- 2 star anises
- 2 tbsp raisins
- 5 1/4 cups water
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 g saffron, soaked in warm water
Methods / instructions
- Heat ghee in a pan and saute shallots until golden bron.
- Add in rice, cloves, start anises and raisins.
- Stir fry for 4 minutes and pour in water with salt.
- Bring to boil and transfer rice content into rice cooker.
- Cook until the rice is done and pour in saffron liquid.
- Keep warm in rice cooker until needed for serving.
