Ingredients (nutrition)
- 450 g thinly sliced beef fillet
- 2 sliced ginger
- 3/4 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp vinegar
- 3 tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 75 ml cooking oil
- 8 g soaked and finely chopped dried chili
- 15 g shredded dried orange peel
- 2 star anise
- 15 ml water
Preparation (instructions)
- In a bowl, combine together first 10 ingredients and set aside for 40 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan and cook beef together with the marinade.
- Remove from heat, drain on kitchen paper towel and set aside.
- Add dried chili, star anise and dried orange peel in the same pan and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in reserved beef and add in water.
- Simmer until sauce thickens.
- Serve hot.
