Ingredients (nutrition)
- 450 g spare ribs, cut into bite size pieces
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 2 lightly beaten egg
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 50 g flour
- 1 tbsp grated garlic
- 1 shredded green pepper
- 450 ml cooking oil
- 3 tbsp tomato sauce
- 3/4 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp cornflour mix with 1 tbsp water
Preparation (instructions)
- Marinate spare ribs with salt, Chinese cooking wine and white pepper. Set aside for 40 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix well egg, ginger and flour.
- Dip spareribs in the mixture and coat evenly.
- Heat cooking oil in a deep and heavy skillet and deep fry spare ribs until golden brown.
- Remove from heat, drain on kitchen paper towel and set aside.
- Leave some oil in the skillet and saute garlic and pepper until fragrant.
- Add remaining ingredients and spareribs.
- Cook until sauce thickens.
- Serve over with boiled fragrant rice.
