Ingredients (nutrition)
For Meat Balls
- 6 oz finely chopped pork
- 2 tsp finely chopped bamboo shoots
- 2 tsp finely chopped water chestnut
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp lightly beaten egg
- 1 tbsp self raising flour
- vegetable oil for deep frying
For Batter
- 2 tbsp self raising flour
- 1/4 pt water
Preparation (instructions)
- Mix well pork, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, salt, sugar, egg, flour and roll into balls.
- To make the batter, mix flour and water.
- Heat oil until hot in a saucepan.
- Coat meatballs in batter mixture and drop into hot oil.
- Deep fry until golden brown.
- Remove from heat and drain on kitchen paper towel.
- Serve warm.
