Ingredients (nutrition)
- 1 1/4 kg chicken, cut into bite size pieces
- 1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 lightly beaten egg
- 120 g ground rice
- vegetable oil for deep frying
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 thinly sliced lemon
- 55 ml chicken stock
- 2 tbsp rice wine
- 1 tbsp sugar
Preparation (instructions)
- In a bowl, rub chicken pieces with ginger and salt.
- Dip chicken with egg and coat with ground rice.
- Fill saucepan with oil.
- When oil is hot, deep fry chicken pieces until golden brown.
- Remove from oil and drain on kitchen paper towel.
- To prepare the sauce, add remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil.
- Remove from heat and drizzle over chicken.
- Serve immediately.
