Ingredients (nutrition)
- 150 g glutinous rice
- 300 g minced pork
- 1 tbsp minced dried shrimps
- 2 crushed water chestnut
- 1 tsp crushed ginger
- 1 tsp finely chopped spring onion
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp caltrop starch
- 3 tbsp water
- 3 dash sesame oil
Preparation (instructions)
- Wash and soak glutinous rice in water for at least 4 1/2 hours until rice expands.
- Drain and place glutinous rice on a flat plate. Cover with cloth and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine together remaining ingredients.
- Chill mixture in refrigerator for 1 1/2 hours.
- Remove mixture from refrigerator and form into balls using your palm.
- Insert meat balls into glutinous rice and coat evenly.
- Steam balls using a double broiler for about 15-20 minutes.
- Serve hot.
