Fillet steak with vegetables recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 3 oz fillet steak
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • 3 drops ginger sherry
  • 3 drops sesame oil
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 tsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp water
  • 3 tbsp peanut oil
  • 8 thin slices cucumber
  • 4 strips celery
  • 4 strips green pepper
  • 4 strips red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 finely chopped garlic clove
  • 1 tsp vinegar

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Combine together meat, pepper, sugar, sherry, sesame oil, egg white, cornflour and water. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet.
  3. Stir in cucumber, celery, green pepper, red pepper and soy sauce. Stir fry for 4 minutes and adjust the seasoning if required. Set aside.
  4. Heat remaining oil, garlic, meat mixture and vinegar.
  5. Cook for a minute and stir in vegetables.
  6. Serve hot with boiled fragrant rice.
