Cantonese style roast pork recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 1/2 kg loin pork, cut into half
  • 45 ml soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp rice wine
  • 1 peeled and sliced root ginger

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Mix well all ingredients in a large bowl and marinate at room temperature for 5 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degree F.
  3. Cook pork in preheated oven for 12 minutes.
  4. Increase oven temperature to 450 degree F and cook for a further 38 minutes.
  5. Turn occasionally and coat frequently with marinated liquid.
  6. Preheat broiler to high and grill for 5 minutes.
  7. Transfer to serving dish and slice prior serving.
