Cantonese style lobster recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 70 ml peanut oil
  • 3 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 kg cooked lobster meat flakes
  • 1 peeled and chopped root ginger
  • 130 g minced lean pork
  • 250 ml chicken stock
  • 1 1/2 tbsp rice wine
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornflour with 2 tbsp water
  • 2 beaten eggs

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Heat 35 ml oil in a heavy skillet and stir fry garlic for a minute.
  2. Add in lobster and stir fry for a further 4 minutes.
  3. Set aside and keep warm.
  4. To make the sauce, heat remaining oil and stir fry ginger and pork until cooked.
  5. Pour in stock and bring to boil.
  6. Add remaining ingredients except eggs.
  7. Remove from heat and whisk in eggs.
  8. Pour mixture over lobster.
  9. Serve immediately.
