Ingredients (nutrition)
- 12 kg spare ribs, cut into bite size pieces
- 5 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 3 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp dry sherry
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp five spice powder
Preparation (instructions)
- Combine well all ingredients except water in a big bowl and cover.
- Allow to marinate for 1 1/2 hours.
- Reserve sauce and transfer spare ribs on a rack in a roasting pan containing 580 ml water.
- Cook in oven at 180 degree C for half an hour.
- Turn ribs and coat occasionally with sauce.
- Cook for a further 25 minutes.
- Serve hot.
