Split pea fritters recipe - Beya Kya

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 cup split peas
  • 2 finely chopped onions
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp corn oil

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Soak spilt peas with water overnight.
  2. Drain and grind peas into fine paste using a blender or food processor.
  3. Mix pea paste with remaining ingredients except oil.
  4. Make into small balls and slightly press to flatten it.
  5. Heat oil in a heavy saucepan.
  6. Drop balls one at a time and fry until golden brown.
  7. Remove and drain on kitchen paper towel.
  8. Serve hot.
